How long have you been with Acceleration Partners and what is your current role?
I’m currently an Associate Account Director. I started at AP in April of 2016, so I’ve been with the agency for just over four years.
How do you describe your role to those unfamiliar with the affiliate marketing industry?
In my role at AP, I am responsible for developing successful account teams and seeing the big picture for our clients. Working across departments and using global industry learnings, I help to coach account teams to innovate new strategies, tactics and efficiencies that will support our clients’ program goals.
I work closely with our client contacts on issues that need to be escalated as well as connect regularly to get feedback so that I am able to effectively implement change with our teams to ensure that AP is always providing superior client services.
What has been one of the biggest changes you’ve seen in the affiliate marketing space since you first entered it?
Going global. As the world becomes more connected, brands are looking for a cohesive, yet regionally focused approach to their affiliate programs.
I have loved being a part of the global account team here at AP and working with multiple brands to find new ways to approach their global vs. regional strategy and execution.
Of AP’s three core values, which are you currently focusing on the most in either your professional or personal life?
Embracing Relationships. I have always been a very compartmentalized and driven person, focused on efficiency and getting to the point.
Acceleration Partners has taught me the importance of getting vulnerable with my co-workers and clients and the value that taking the time to not “talk shop” can have on building better trust and more productive working relationships.
With so many people across the world now working from home, what is one piece of advice you would give to someone new to the remote workspace?
Have a designated workspace outside of your bedroom if possible. I have found It so valuable to have a room that I consider my “work mind” and being able to leave that space behind at the end of the day and not be tempted by email dings to sign back on and work around the clock.
This has been critical to helping me set boundaries between my work and home life even though the space is the same.
